Building Jeeva AI from Zero to One as Founding Designer
I shaped Jeeva AI’s brand, website, and product — turning a young idea into something teams could trust.
Hero mockup
Introduction
Jeeva AI is an AI sales platform — digital workers that research, enrich, and reach out to leads for every team. When I joined, it was early: a strong idea without the design foundation to make it feel real.
As founding designer, I owned three surfaces at once — the brand, the marketing site, and the product itself.
Every surface had to say the same thing in its first second: this is a product you can trust.
Problem
A new product can’t just look different — it has to look credible enough to stand next to names buyers already trust, like Clay and Apollo.
There was no design system, no shipped website, and a product whose complex automation needed to feel simple. Everything had to be built from scratch — without slowing the team down.
Research
To design something credible, I studied the tools buyers already compared us to — Clay, Apollo, and the wider outbound landscape — and worked hand in hand with the CEO and engineering to understand what the product could really do.
Competitive teardowns · founder & engineering sessions · iteration against real sales workflows
Findings
1. Credibility beats novelty
A new product has to match the visual standard of established tools before it can differentiate.
2. The interface is the product
Jeeva’s value is complex automation — the design’s job was to make that automation feel effortless.
Interaction map
3. The AI interaction is the hero
The flow to find, enrich, and reach leads was the single most important moment to get right.
4. Desktop-first was deliberate
Nearly all our traffic was desktop, so I prioritised depth over mobile parity.
5. Speed compounds
Shipping a 160-page site and a product in parallel meant the system had to be reusable from day one.
Design Objective
Look credible instantly
Stand shoulder to shoulder with the tools buyers already trust.
Make complexity feel calm
Turn heavy automation into clear, confident interfaces.
Build for speed
A reusable system so brand, web, and product ship in parallel.
Older Experience
The earliest version presented information, but did little to help buyers act on it — generic, and easy to overlook next to established competitors.
Old tasks table
The previous interface — dense, but hard to act on.
Revamped Experience
A reusable system let me move fast across every surface — a credible marketing site, a product that made complex automation feel simple, and the brand around both.
Redesigned dashboard
Redesigned table with flexible views and advanced filters.
Custom views
Custom views tailored to each team’s workflow.
Timeline view
Timeline view — projects tracked across a calendar of stages.
Focus mode
Focus Mode surfaces only what’s due today.
The result: a young product that could compete on the same field as far bigger names.
